Will adjusting tire pressures and spraying the tires be allowed between runs?  Will the driver be required to stay in the car during the crossover?

PAX will be used for picking non-class winners for the Challenge round and also to determine distance setbacks.  Will there be an adjustment for Road Tire competitors?

Jim, THANKS for all the hard work keeping track of the points and stuff.  Road Tire has been a blast this year, with lots of close competition.  There's a couple changes for your recap sheet.  Last week at RIT, George Little got me on the last run by half a tenth, so I don't think I get 101 for that one.  You will also need to combine scores from different cars for Brian and Joe.  If my math is correct, going into the last event, Greg, Joe or myself can take the title depending on who wins.  Greg is about a half second ahead of Joe, with me another second behind.  Greg also has a chance to take the title if I win and he is a half second behind or less.  The MINIs have been tough this year, and those guys deserve the title.  My average times have been maybe a little more consistent, but they have more wins.  See y'all on Sunday.

We are going to be parking at the south end of the runway.  When you get to SeAD instead of turning left at the State Police building, just go straight back on the gravel road.

Good catch Chris.  Actually it's the second place MINI in Road Tire that was messed up.  I guess I shouldn't have given Carrie a hard time for the registration line being so slow (j/k).  It will impact the standings so if possible it needs to be corrected.

Solo (Autocross) / Re: FLR National Tour Road Tire class

Just a reminder to sign up for the FLR National tour held the weekend of July 9th.  Don't miss this chance to participate in the premier autox event in the northeast.  And if you don't want to go head to head with national level competition, remember that we are offering the Road Tire class at the tour.  It's a perfect option for newer drivers or anyone who isn't on race tires.

For more information about the event, and to sign up, go to

http://scca.com/event.aspx?hub=3&event=15169

If you're signing up for the Road Tire class, just put your entry into AMod, and it will be changed on-site when you check in.

Solo (Autocross) / FLR National Tour Road Tire class
« on: May 13, 2010, 09:34:30 pm »
Registration for the FLR National tour is now open. New this year, the FLR Road Tire class will be offered as a supplemental class at the tour event. This is an indexed class open to cars on street tires from all classes other than the ST classes. If you have been thinking about attending the tour, but don't want to compete against cars on race tires, then this is the class for you.

To register go to www.scca.org and find the Finger Lakes National tour event under the SOLO section. To sign up for the Road Tire class, just register for AM (AMod) and add a note to the registrar that you want to be in the indexed Road Tire class, and what class you would normally be in. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Don't miss this chance to participate in a National tour event with some of the best drivers in the country.

Congrats on the Tour victory, Jim.  ESP was a close class with less than a half second covering the first four.  I was out at station 1 on Saturday in the wet.  Seeing y'all come off the last corner setting up for the blast to the finish was awesome (scary, but awesome).  You were bringing it home rally style!  I almost wish I had been there on Sunday.  Strano was also cooking thru there in the same heat.  Good thing he was running in FS not ESP...

Solo (Autocross) / Re: FLR Novice School
« on: May 12, 2009, 01:14:35 pm »
Our attendance for the Novice School is still not where we need it to be.  An option being considered is to add an Intermediate Novice School option.  Basically during the three hours of drills, the Intermediates would work with an advanced Instructor on a test and tune style course.  The cost would be the same, $50 for members, $60 for non-members.

At this point, I'm only trying to judge the interest in a possible Intermediate School.  If you would probably sign up for this option, please let me know either on this thread, or at

gandemo at gmail dot com

Registration for the Novice school has been less than expected, and we still
have several spots available. If anyone is interested, or knows of anyone that
is interested, you can sign-up at

http://www.flr-scca.com/solo/noviceschool.html

You don't have to be a Novice to attend, just interested in working on the
FUNdamentals.

RS = not turbo correct?  ST (former STS ) allows NA up to 3.1.  There are a bunch of rules related to brakes: voids for slots/holds < 10%, and for ST must be same rotor material as stock.  STX/STU brake rules allow more.
