Garrick has a couple of 15" tires to take to Jeff Weaver, but no way to carry them. I have room to take one (maybe?) in my civic, so we are looking for somebody that's going that might be able to carry 1-2 tires.

Rally / Rally America US Rallycross Championship Series
« on: July 27, 2010, 01:58:34 pm »
Greetings!

As avid motorsports fans and in many cases, participants, we’d like to let you and your friends know of an exciting new motorsports series taking place not too far from you – the Rally America US Rallycross Championship series at the New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) in Millville, New Jersey!

Through an exciting partnership with our friends at Rally America, Inc., the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) will be in attendance at these events with an information booth and a race car or two on display promoting all of our SCCA programs, including Rallycross.  Although significantly different from the Rally America Eurpoean-style wheel-to-wheel Rallycross events that will be taking place at NJMP, we feel that having a presence at these events will help to educate the general public regarding the SCCA and our many programs.

With the Rally America US Rallycross Championship series taking place on the three separate weekends which include August 28-29, October 2-3 and November 6-7, we hope you’ll mark your calendars today and try to join us for what are sure to be some exciting weekends of wheel-to-wheel racing with purpose-built high-powered AWD and 2WD Rallycross cars and some of the best Rallycross drivers in North America and Europe!

If you’d like to volunteer to lend a hand at the SCCA booth during these events or maybe even display your race or Rallycross car, please feel free to contact Pego Mack by sending an E-mail to www.rally-america.com – if you’d like to purchase tickets to the Rally America US Rallycross Championship series on-line, please visit http://store.njmp.com/store/category/9/ ... Y-AMERICA/.  If you’d like to consider entering these events as a driver, please send an E-mail directly to Mike Hurst, Director of Competition at Rally America: mike@rally-america.com

Sincerely,

Pego Mack

News!!! / Interested in a place to keep/work on your race car?
« on: June 11, 2010, 08:08:33 am »
I'm considering purchasing a small building (about 10,000 SF) in the West Seneca/Buffalo area.  The building consists of 2 sections; a 6,000 SF section that I would lease and a 4,000 SF that I would like to set up as a race car prep area.

I'm trying to determine if there's an interest in the concept and what I would need to supply to make it worthwhile and finally, what it would be worth to you.  I'm not looking to make a lot of money with the Prep Shop - but I see it as an opportunity for like minded enthusiasts to learn from one another in a common, secure shop that has adequate room to store a trailer (outside) and a car (inside). along with spares etc.

Take a look at the outline below and let me know what you think...

Here's what I would provide:

* Dedicated Bays - probably 15 x 20 for each car; I can fit 5 or 6 cars in
   the space that I have.
* Each Bay would have a work bench, an air drop from a central  air
   compressor, access to a parts washer, access to a scale pad, access to
   a  hydraulic press, access to a rolling lift
* Each member would have their own key to the shop - you can work when
   ever you like.
* Utilities would be shared.

If you're interested, have questions, comments or any other advice - let me know.  My email address is FC3Racer@YAHOO.com

Thanks for taking the time to look this over.

Best Regards,

Pat Pendrak.
