This is going to be very cheap. Other regions are charging [2] 20 minute sessions for $120. We are offering [5] 20 minute sessions for $125. That being said the price is the same if you just do Saturday or Sunday only.
Session times for PDX are:
> Sat 8:30 am (20 minutes)
> Sat 1st after lunch break (20 minutes)
> Sat after last race group (20 minutes)
> Sun 9:15 am (20 minutes)
> Sun between last 20 lap race group and before enduro start (20 minutes)
There will be some "classroom" before/after each session.
I downloaded the PDX info sheet and have 2 questions.
1. The opening paragraph says to be familiar with the 2009 Time Trial Rules, but the link is to the 2008 Rules. Is their any major difference between the 2 sets of rules?
2. The Technical Inspection paragraph states that Tech forms should be completed prior to the event. Where are these forms located?
It looks like a generic form was copied and the info is dated. This is the current rules for Time Trail - Level 1 - PDX:
http://cms.scca.com/documents/Club%20Fo ... l1-PDX.pdfDon't let the name fool you, there is no timing in Level 1.
Well since there appears to be no tech forms attached to file we can not hold students accountable for not filling one out prior to the event. But the rules state "good working order". So at a minimum the car would have to pass auto-X tech, have a working tail light, passenger seat safety equal to driver seat.
My must do quick tips:
Brakes, brakes, brakes. This is the only must do performance wise. Good high performance pads, high temp fluid, and a recent fluid change. Buy some extra pads to bring with you and you can return them if you don’t need them. Buy track purpose pads. Just do something…..
