I'm trying to get the class for my car, but not liking what the rule book is telling me. I have a 2001 BMW Z3 Coupe (3.0L, NA). Only mods currently are  performance intake, and wheels/tires. The OEM tire sizes look like 225 front, 245 rear. Right now I have 235 front, 255 rear. As near as i can tell, this puts me in STX. Any chance I'm wrong? If I had 225/245 tires, would I fit into ST for OEM sized tires, or does the 225 limit in ST override that?

So, looking through the rulebook, you are not eligible for STS based on your displacement.  Now, from there, I'm not sure if you are eligible for STU or not (anyone else want to chime in?).  That being said, you are eligible for B Street Prepared, and you could run the Road Tire class with a BSP index.

Z3 is a two seater, so automatically not in ST or STX. Good chance it is eligible for STS (formerly STS2). For these classes, tire size is not regulated, but wheel size is, I think STS has the same max width that ST has -- 7.5in. So, check the STS listing, if your car is eligible (maybe, maybe not) and your wheels are 7.5 inches wide (or less), then you would fit into STS. If you're not listed, then Jim is right, BSP. Although, if you took off the intake you would be able to go back to stock class (BS).

Rulebook says STS is limited to 1.9L NA, so that dq's him for it.
