« on: February 07, 2012, 08:16:22 am »
The February 2012 Western New York Region SCCA meeting was called to order by RE Roy Bergman at 7:32 pm.

Minutes Roy made the motion to approve the December 2011 meeting minutes as published on the WNY website, seconded by Jim Perrin. (No January meeting minutes since the meeting was replaced by the annual banquet.)

Treasurer’s Report - Treasurer Karen Frieder presented the financial report.

Race Report – Ty Noles reported that there was good racing at the Daytona 24 Hour. Dale reported that our region member, Rod Reisdorf, won a trip to the race, along with the opportunity to be in the pit crew for the Liquid Moly Porsche in a trade magazine contest. Rod said it was fun.

Ice Racing – there has been one race; doesn’t look like there will be anymore due to weather.

Solo Report – WNY has received a contract from Ralph Wilson Stadium to have two solo events at the site during the 2012 season. The first event will be June 10, second date to be announced after the NFL schedule is finalized.

Rally – No report.

Membership Report:  Jon Wolff reported 179 US members, 75 Canadian members. Ty requested that people fill out questionnaires that were sent out asking for member input on interests. We had three new folks at the meeting. Eric (sorry, missed the last name), an occasional autocrosser looking to increase participation, and Chris Gill with friend Paul Young. Chris formerly crewed with Randy Zimmer.

Licensing Report – None.

Merchandise Report –Bill Frieder has a selection of patches, stickers and pins available. Some are collector items.

NEDiv – Phil Henderson reports that the Roundtable will be the weekend of March 17-19 at Mt. Pocono, and he’s been told it will be the cheapest ever.

Old Business – None.

New Business – None.

Announcements: Roy announced that at the BOD meeting last week that the BOD had agreed that the annual picnic will be in August, and as a celebration of the region’s 65th birthday, the event will be free to members and friends.

Motion to adjourn made by Phil seconded by Karen.

Meeting adjourned at 7:42.
