The February 2019 meeting of the WNY Region SCCA was called to order by David at 7:35 pm on February 4, 2019 at the Olympic Restaurant on Genessee St.

Minutes: A motion to accept the minutes from the December meeting was submitted by Jon and seconded by Carrie.  The motion was passed by acclamation.

Treasurer: The treasurer submitted his monthly report

Membership: 261 members, not including a number of pending renewals.

Club Racing: The Finger Lakes Region will be hosting the Ithaca Winter Rally on February 23rd.  More information can be found here:

Ice Racing: Last week.

Solo: The solo schedule is set for the first half of the 2019 season, and will include 4 events at New Era Field and 2 at Seneca Army Depot.
A solo planning meeting will be held prior to next month's general meeting at 6:30 on March 4th.

NEDIV: The next divisional mini-con will be held on February 16th.  Highlights include a solo course design clinic and a rallycross presentation by our own Jim Perrin.

New business: The national convention was well attended, with standing room only reported at many events.  Highlights included the pinewood derby on Saturday, as well as presentations by the International Motor Racing Research Center.  The Center is seeking copies of old region newsletters for its archives.

Old business: The region awards banquet was held this past January 5th.  Good times were had by all.

Announcements: The IMRRC is hosting a number of conversations in the coming months, including "MG and WG: A Celebration!" on February 23rd (coinciding with the exhibition of a pair of historic MGAs), "Open Wheel Madness" on March 23rd, "The Sixth Annual IMRRC Model Car Show with LEGO" on April 6th, and "Racing Through the Trees: An Inside Look at Pro Rallying" on May 18th.  More info here:
