Posted by The August 2019 meeting of the WNY Region SCCA was called to order by David at 7:38 pm on August 5, 2019 at the Olympic Restaurant on Genessee St.
Minutes: A motion to accept the minutes from the July meeting was submitted by Carrie and seconded by Ty. The motion was passed by acclamation.
Treasurer: The treasurer was absent, therefore no report was submitted. The president made reassurances that the treasurer has not absconded with the region’s money.
Membership: 276 members.
Club Racing: Ty attended a Great Lakes regional event at Mid Ohio and gave it a glowing review.
Ice Racing: In 250 days.
Solo: WNY Event 5 was held on July 21st at Seneca Army Depot, with a Test and Tune on the 20th. Despite temperatures in the 90s, good times were had by all those in attendance. Event 6 will be held at New Era Field on August 25th.
Several WNY Region members attended the Michigan ProSolo event, with Mike Jeffries winning his class. Highlights included a Dale sighting.
