Posted by The October 2023 meeting of the WNY Region SCCA was called to order by Jim at 7:34 pm on October 2, 2023. The meeting was held virtually via Zoom.
Minutes: A motion to accept the minutes from the August meeting was submitted by Brett and seconded by Joe. The motion was passed by acclamation.
Treasurer: The treasurer was absent.
Membership: 244 members.
Club Racing: Keith took 3rd place in F600 at the Runoffs.
Ice Racing: In 110 days. Or maybe 23 days.
Solo: Our fifth event on September 24th was a near sellout with 107 drivers attending, including 20 first timers and 35 total novices.
The Champagne Run and final event at the stadium (at least for the time being) will be October 29th; register here.
We are investigating the use of Bills employee parking at the Hamburg Fairgrounds for next season. We are still seeking leads on other sites.
NEDIV: nothing submitted.
New Business: Planning is in the works for the end of season banquet. We are tentatively planning on January 20th, and are in the process of reaching out to the Tewksbury Lodge.
